Arlene Goldman, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist and sex therapist, specializing in the treatment of sexual dysfunctions and relationship distress. Her professional skills and expertise includes treating issues of sexual dysfunction (including loss of sexual desire, erectile dysfunction, and orgasmic difficulties) relationship conflict, divorce/separation and life style issues.  She is also skilled in hypnosis and EMDR.

She is Director of Training for Media Psychology Associates and has served on the faculty of Jefferson Medical College where she coordinated the Sexual Function Center, a facility that specializes in the evaluation, and treatment of sexual dysfunctions. She has also served on the faculties of Chestnut Hill College, Widener University and The Family Institute of Philadelphia. She has trained professionals at all levels in the treatment of relationship issues and sexual matters.

Dr. Goldman is co-author of Secrets of Sexual Ecstasy, which is the first in the Psychology Today: Here to Help book series.

Dr. Goldman received her Ph.D. in Human Sexuality Education from University of Pennsylvania in 1989 and Masters in Counseling Psychology in 1972.

In addition she has postgraduate training at the Clinical School of Family Therapy, Family Institute of Philadelphia, Two-year training program in Sex Therapy and Sex counseling, and Hahnemann Medical College Philadelphia, PA.

She is a member of The American Psychological Association, Society for Sex Therapy and Research, Family Institute of Philadelphia, North American Society for Psychosocial Obstetrics and Gynecology. Diplomate, American Board Of Sexology, Board Certified Sex Therapist, and Board Certified Clinical Supervisor in Sex Therapy.

Dr. Goldman provides individual, couples and sex therapy in her Center City, Philadelphia office. She also provides consultation, and training for other professionals.
